| My Client is an expert in water analysis. They are competent in development, production, marketing, sales and service in the fields of measurement technology and reagents.
They currently have a requirement for a Field Industrial Sales Consultant.
The primary role of this position is to actively promote the company's products and services to a defined territory and customer base. Company products include Samplers, Analysers, Probes, Sensors, meters, etc.
The Key Responsibilities will be:
•Perform all sales activity within an assigned geographic territory to meet company objectives.
•Submit and implement a detailed sales action plan identifying: sales objectives, sales opportunities, major customers, and regional shows to be attended during the following fiscal year.
•Participate in sales activities including: customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations and customer seminars.
•Submit annual, monthly and weekly sales forecast to Sales Manager.
•Maintain customer activity files in SMART database.
•Assists in maintaining a mail list (SMART) for customers in the assigned territory.
•Collect and report information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory.
You will report directly to the Business Development Manager.
Desired Background and Skill Requirement:
MUST have instrumentations sales experience with products such as analysers, sensors, probes, etc.
•BSc. degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences or equivalent experience.
•Experience in the general techniques and chemical procedures employed by the company.
•Proven track record in industrial or process sales in similar products and services.
•Formal sales training is required, but may be obtained immediately after employment.
•Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the internet.
•Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving license.
•Must be willing and able to travel extensively.
Personal Trait Profile:
•Must be a self-starter.
•Outstanding communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
•Superior organisational skills with the ability to handle concurrent projects.
•Ability to communicate effectively, overcome objections with both technical and non-technical customers.
•Proven track record in outstanding sales performance.
•Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
