| My Client provides data capture solutions to a number of industries.
They are part of a thriving group of companies located in the US and UK.
They are currently experiencing a period of significant growth and as a consequence are looking to recruit a sales professional to manage one of the company's most important sales sectors.
The Role:
This role can be based from but there is a requirement to come into the office on the first day of the week.
Sector Sales – Public Sector / Health / Emergency Services
Sell mid value (£20k to £100k) business consulting, IT solutions and services to senior management and other strategic players in the field of data generation, acquisition, archival and integration. The post holder will develop solutions and services opportunities into proposals and close deals.
You will take Sector Ownership of the Health, Local Government and Emergency Services Markets
You will take a stage by stage approach, understanding the problem fully before defining a solution.
You will demonstrate that the existing situation has been fully understood and demonstrate to the client the benefits of the suggested way forward. High-level presentation, negotiation and closing ability will be paramount.
The ability to network through the sector is a must, as is the ability to access the shakers and movers operating throughout it.
The primary measure of success is the conversion of prospects into fee-paying clients.
Attendance at sector relevant conferences and other events as both attendee and speaker may be required.
The Responsibilities:
Annual sales target for combined consultancy, services and software circa £500K
Negotiation and closing of contracts with high gross margin
Be part of a strong and growing team, not a sole operator.
The Requirements:
The post holder will need to control a number of proposals at any one time, drawing on resources as and when required.
Business process, data management and distributed IT technologies knowledge is required and the ability to focus on the client's strategic aims, plans and objectives is essential.
You will help develop business processes to ensure cost minimisation and high profitability
You will be customer facing and customer focused.
You will commit to using your abilities to drive the growth of the company and most importantly, you will want to have fun while you are doing it.
The Rewards:
Your salary is based on your responsibility, knowledge and your ability.
The package includes a base salary of between £35k and £55k, a very achievable commission based bonus, total £70k to £110k OTE, plus car allowance.
