| This is a first-class opportunity to join a company who are a leading supplier of power systems to many other organisations and leading blue chip companies. In order to continue their growth they require an additional Project Engineer to join their Project Engineering Department.
PROJECT ENGINEER
Electrical Capital Equipment
DIRECTLY SUPERVISING:
Sub-Contractors
Commissioning Engineers
OBJECTIVES:
Execute successful turnkey capital projects from sales handover through to completion, to the satisfaction of customers, to programme and to budget.
JOB FUNCTION:
Take P & L responsibility for the assigned capital projects.
Provide invoicing forecasts and cost budgets capital projects.
Give project support (sometimes out of hours) to the field staff as required.
Preparation of sub-contract orders and contract agreements.
Appraisal and regular timely reporting of all major project activities to the Contract Manager.
Ensure that all company policies and procedures are supported and adhered to.
To provide support to Capital Sales.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have a degree or minimum of HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:
The candidate will have experience in the UPS sector.
Be a proven leader with a strong personality and presence of authority.
Must be able to demonstrate a successful record in project management.
Self motivated and achievement oriented.
Conversant and up to date with Health & Safety Legislation, including CDM regulations.
Commercial / Contractual training.
Experience of contract negotiation.
Ability to see issues in both commercial and operational terms.
Have a good understanding of the Capital Equipment Sales process via Consultants and Contractors.
Experience of electrical system design (400V systems)
SPEECH, MANNER & APPEARANCE:
The desired candidate will be expected to represent the company at all levels and therefore will be articulate, well presented and able to project a confident and professional manner.
