| Field Application Engineer – UPS/Power Electronics
Salary: 35k to 40k basic + benefits
Location: Kent/Es****/East Sus****
Role :
The filed application engineer is responsible for the support of customers in the pre-sales role and in project management in the post-sales role.
Responsibilities :
•Liaise with the sales team on new opportunities to provide a technical solution that satisfies the customer's requirements together with a cost / selling price.
•Liaise directly with the customer where required to ensure the customer requirements are fully understood.
•Attend review meetings with the customer both prior to receiving an order and after receiving an order to kick off the project.
•Organise contract reviews with the sales team, operations and finance teams to ensure the full requirements of the project are understood by all parties and a plan is agreed.
•Liaise with the internal factories to ensure customer needs are being met.
•Liaise with suppliers to ensure customer needs are being meet and the internal demands of the finance and operations team are being met.
•Read customer T&Cs, commenting where appropriate and escalating for higher approvals or reference to the legal team when necessary.
•Liaise with the customer and product centres to produce all customer documentation specified on the sales order.
Key Objectives :
•To develop UK sales with the sales team to grow the UK turnover.
•To improve the turnaround time and quality of quotations submitted by the UK office to UK customers.
•To manage project delivery in an efficient and cost effective manner controlling all aspects to improve UK margins and cash flow.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3 Years + experience in a sales / engineering environment within the power electronics market.
- 2 years + experience in Application Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
- You should possess an HNC or equivalent in an electrical / electronic engineering subject

•Good analytical skills.
•Self starter, who can manage his own workload without day to day supervision.
