Our client are spe****t in Business Process Mapping Solutions (BPM).
Due to their continued expansion programme, they currently have a requirements for an experienced and high performing Business Development Manager/Sales Consultant.
The Role
The position requires that the individual be in the office when not at meetings but the expectation will be that 4 days will be spent on the road at appointments.
This role has a 100% new business focus. The average “solution based” deployment of the Company is £40k and is made up of Software, Maintenance & Support and professional Services, however the last 6 months has brought sales of £80k+. Our client also engage in on-site consultancy projects with many large organisations to assist in time pressured projects that require vast knowledge and experience in Business Process Mapping (BPM).
Our client is a team organisation where knowledge and experience is freely exchanged between individuals, the key criteria to being successful with the Company is to become an integral member of the overall team and culture.
They invest heavily in bespoke, high level and focused training to keep the skills base relevant and the individuals motivated to achieve the targets expected. The Company will be in the Times top 10 fast track companies for 2008/9.
Definition of role
The Solutions consultant will manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics. Strong new business skills are a prerequisite to the role and a preparedness to “go the extra mile” when required. This position is perfect for a very successful internal based software sales person who has aspirations to take their career to the next step. An understanding of Business Process Mapping is not required but would be advantageous, however an ability to understand and work with in defined processes is.
The Solutions Consultant will:
- Provide best-practice advice about the Company's Solution incorporating Software, Support, Consultancy and professional Services to potential customers.
- Work strategically and possess a flare for “out-of-the-box” thinking.
- Define and articulate the most beneficial value proposition according to the sales cycle underway in a particular account.
- Target and communicate effectively with C-level people in some of the UK's largest companies.
- Articulate the Company's “elevator pitch” in a composed and intelligent manner.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Interested candidates must have:-
- Proven track record of software solutions sales, ideally within a Business Process Mapping (BPM) environment or similar
- Good presentation skills with an ability to communicate effectively to a group of people either face to face or via a web medium.
- Ability to co-ordinate the virtual team of resource that surrounds them.
- Strong time management skills are a prerequisite as multiple sales cycles and multiple resources will need to be managed at one time.
- An ability with in potential customer to resolve support, product and political issues, in conjunction with the management team, and be able to effectively navigate through these areas keeping the Company's name and integrity in tact.
The Solutions Consultant will be:
- Analytical, have vision, be innovative and be an excellent communicator, be committed to customer service and possess a high level of personal integrity.
- Computer literate, be organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure business critical environments.
- Be able to Pipeline and forecast accurately and effectively on a weekly and monthly basis.
