| My Client is a long established UK manufacturer of fixed gas detection equipment with sales world-wide.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced technical Sales Engineer. The role would involve selling products directly to end customers in the South of England covering the Home Counties, East Anglia, Greater London, South West, South Wales and the South Midlands
The successful candidate would have a proven track record in sales and preferably within the gas detection market however other instrumentation related markets will be considered (gas or water analysers, dew point, temp pressure etc).
They currently sell products into the water treatment, construction, brewing, power generation, local authorities, nuclear, and chemical industries and it is essential that the candidate has experience of some of these markets.
The role consists of the development of existing accounts and the establishing of new customers. The successful candidate must demonstrate their ability to work independently and have a good track record of market development together with strong planning skills. This role requires a consultative approach to selling where the salesman develops a rapport with the customer and is prepared to invest in a relationship before significant orders are achieved. The role would involve some liaison with electrical contractors so any electrical knowledge or experience would be beneficial.
The candidate would be expected to work from home with a funded Internet connection, laptop, mobile phone and company car. An excellent re-numeration package is available for the successful candidate including a generous OTE, profit share, pension and medical insurance.
