| Our client provides credit and store card facilities for a variety of large retail clients.
They have an immediate vacancy for a Senior Database Marketing Executive to work from their offices based in Solihull, West Midlands.
Job Role
To Support the day to day workload, performance and development of DBM Executives, so that agreed client expectations are met in delivery of campaign management, evaluation, business reporting and bespoke information. To carry out campaign management, evaluation, business reporting and bespoke information for specific clients with a view to learning from campaign activity through analysis and influencing the plans for future campaigns. Acting as a consultant to internal customers to support the development and implementation of the card programme and related offers.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
Team Management
Meet agreed client expectations by managing and/or supporting the workload, prioritisation and accuracy of selections and reports from DBM Executives within the area.
Coach DBM Executives for performance and provide development opportunities for individuals.
Take an active role in the recruitment and training of DBM Executives as and when required.
Build an effective team through support, coaching, feedback and development of individual roles and collective responsibilities.
Campaign Management, Insight and Reporting
Produce and have signed off agreed selection lists which support the contact strategy, by channel using different data and systems, e.g. SAS, Affinium, smartFOCUS and Business Objects.
Understand the client’s key business dynamics to assist in a consultancy capacity.
Work with Marketing planners to make recommendations on how campaigns should be put together and measured.
Be able to suggest and implement statistically valid control groups where appropriate.
Effectively present value added conclusions on campaign effectiveness, based on campaign objectives and expectation, previous or other relevant campaigns or direct mail expertise. Assist in a consultancy capacity to identify trends.
Perform KPI reporting for each campaign e.g. Flash pack etc. using smartFOCUS or SAS.
Ensure that campaign list delivery, campaign analysis and an audit trail can take place through correct set up of the selection lists on the system.
Work with Operational Support to set up the mailing schedule for statement fulfilment.
Format the selection list appropriately for the mailing house, and include seed lists.
Support in the production of reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Team Objectives
Become proficient in the use of the marketing database, campaign management tool, Affinium, smartFOCUS, SAS, Excel, Access and any other tools required for the successful implementation of Direct Marketing campaigns, completion of analysis and any ad hoc information.
Active involvement in the DBM initiatives and projects.
Keep up to date on database, direct marketing and customer marketing industry developments, including competitor activity.
Maintain appropriate DBM profile within the business by actively integrating with all departments.
Sponsor DBMA projects where required. |

Skills: |
This role would suit an experienced graduate, who is PC literate especially with spreadsheets, word processing and electronic mail packages who is customer focused and has experience of using a Campaign Management Tool. You will also need experience of supporting test design and analysis and at least 1 year's expeirence of using base SAS
Any IDM, DMA, CIM Marketing qualifications or experience such as Direct marketing in financial services, Project Management, External profile and list data, Campaign Management software or experience of developing and providing reports using SAS would be desirable.
